Sunshine, Dogs, and a Whole Lot of Happiness
Dog and Owner Portrait Session in Tennessee
I met up with Alli for her session at a quiet little farm full of flowers — and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better evening. Her two dogs were all energy and personality, and she just rolled with it. That’s my kind of session.
No pressure, no forced poses. Just a girl and her dogs being themselves while I hung back with my camera, catching the moments that felt real.
A Little Behind-the-Scenes
We shot during golden hour (because you can’t beat that light). The dogs ran, played, and gave us those little moments that make you smile later — the kind of photos you can actually feel.
Dog sessions never go perfectly, and that’s what makes them great. One chased a butterfly, the other found a mud puddle. But that’s the good stuff — that’s where the personality shows up.
Thinking About Doing a Dog & Owner Session?
Here’s what helps make it go smooth (and fun):
- Bring treats. Bribery works.
- Pick a place your dog loves. Somewhere they’re relaxed and can just be themselves.
- Don’t stress about perfect behavior. The best photos happen in between.
- Golden hour = soft light = magic. Trust me.
That’s it. Simple.
