The Story Behind My Photography

Mila — The dog who inspired everything I do today.

… for Families, Dog Lovers, Breeders & Canine Businesses

The first dog my husband and I welcomed into our own family was Mila. She showed me just how deeply they become part of a family. The first dog my husband and I welcomed into our home was Mila. She grew up alongside our kids, made the journey with us when we moved from Germany to Tennessee, and stayed by our side until she was 18 years old.

Today, I understand just how priceless these photographs become and I know what it’s like to wish you had just one more photograph.

They’re the reason I believe these moments matter so much. Our dogs are never with us long enough, and one day these photographs will become some of your most treasured memories – whether we’re capturing playful puppy photography, dog & owner portraits, or celebrating the quiet beauty of senior dog photography.

A Session Built Around Your Dog

For the puppy who thinks every leaf is a toy – The loyal best friend waiting by the door. These are the memories worth holding onto!

Every dog has a different personality, and every session should reflect that.

Beautiful portraits aren’t created by rushing. They’re created through patience, understanding, and knowing when the moment is right. With years of experience working with dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities, I know how to create an experience that feels calm, enjoyable, and stress-free for both you and your dog.

By understanding their body language and working at the right pace, I’m able to capture the expressions, details, and moments that make your dog truly unforgettable.

Understanding Dogs Comes First

I’ve spent far more hours watching dogs than asking them to look at my camera.

I grew up with dogs, and I honestly can’t remember a time without one by my side. When my husband and I started our own family, the first thing we did was welcome Mila into it. She grew up with our kids, moved with us from Germany to Tennessee, and stayed by our side for 18 wonderful years. Today, our home is full of life again with our Belgian Malinois, Zoe.

Living with dogs my entire life, training them, and spending countless hours learning how they communicate has taught me something that’s just as important as photography—understanding their body language. Dogs tell us exactly how they’re feeling if we know what to look for.

I never rush a session or expect your dog to be perfect. I’ll give them time to explore, sniff, play, and get comfortable. I work at their pace, earning their trust before I ever ask for anything. When dogs feel safe and relaxed, that’s when their real personality shines through.

Because I know firsthand that one day, they’ll mean more than you could ever imagine.
