Fine Art Horse Wall Art for Eugene, Sabrina & Their Herd

An Evening With Eugene, Sabrina & the Whole Herd
Fine Art Horse Wall Art in Tennessee
I’ve known Eugene and Sabrina from cutting for a while now, and they’re the type of people you’re instantly glad to know.
Down-to-earth, funny, hardworking, and honestly just great humans. So when they asked me to do a couple session and create fine art portraits of all their horses… yeah, I was pretty dang honored.
We Started With the Fine Art Horse Portraits — The “Make My Horse Look Like a Legend” Part
Before the sun even started to think about setting, we jumped straight into the painterly portraits.
Whenever I do fine art portraits like these, we keep it super simple — we shoot everything right in the barn aisle.
No crazy studio setup, no hauling equipment all over the property. Just good light, a calm spot, and a background that I edit in later.
Fine Art Horse Portraits – behinde the Scene
The horses don’t have to stand still for long (thank goodness), and they feel way more relaxed in their own space. Once I get the right angles and expressions, that’s when the magic happens. Later in editing, I remove the barn aisle, build in the painterly background, adjust the lighting, and turn the portrait into that dramatic, fine art look.
It’s honestly the best of both worlds:
their comfort + my creativity = stunning wall art.

Some Horses posed like straight-up professionals.
Some needed a snack break.
One decided the background was suspicious and had to be investigated.
But every single portrait turned into a piece of wall art they can proudly hang forever.
It sharpens their features, softens the shadows, and suddenly their eyes pop in this dramatic, timeless way. Every curve of the neck, every detail in their coat — it all stands out.

THEN We Went Outside for Golden Hour — The Couple Photos
Once the fine art portraits were done, the timing worked out perfectly.
Golden hour rolled in, the light got soft and glowy, and we headed back outside to photograph Eugene and Sabrina together.
This Session Meant a Lot
I’m proud to call these two friends, and getting to create both their fine art wall pieces and their golden-hour couple photos meant the world.
