The entire experience with Nicole Pols Photography has become an experience I treasure just as much as the photos themselves. I had never done a photo shoot with my animals before, but Nicole made everything super easy and fun. Any self-consciousness I had melted right away under her direction. The whole session was a joy and she has THE BEST ideas for poses, backdrops, and making magic with the light! Best of all Nicole really picked up on our personalities and relationship, and she managed to bring that through expertly in the images.
Having these photos means more to me than I can possibly express, and I’m forever thankful for the beautiful memories that Nicole captured and created!

The big day is here, and I’ll be right there capturing the amazing bond you share with your family, pets—or both! After your session, you’ll get your full gallery (and Reel if it’s in your package) within 6 weeks—so you can soak in all the joy and memories!

STEP 4

After your session, I carefully hand-edit each image, selecting the very best moments and transforming them into artwork-worthy portraits. Every image receives personal attention to ensure your gallery reflects the beauty of your story.

STEP 5

This is one of my favorite parts! We’ll meet over Zoom to view your images together for the first time. I’ll help you narrow down your favorites, explore wall art options, and even show you how different pieces could look in your home so you can choose with confidence.

STEP 6

Once your artwork arrives, it’s time to enjoy it every day. I like ending with the idea that the experience doesn’t end with digital files—it ends with memories displayed and enjoyed every day. That’s a much stronger emotional close and naturally supports your wall art offerings.

I don’t just photograph horses and dogs—I live alongside them. Years of working with horses and caring for dogs have taught me how to read their body language, earn their trust, and adapt to their personalities. That experience allows me to create authentic images while making the session enjoyable for both you and your animal.

Nope.
I work with your horse as they are—curious, distracted, maybe a little chaotic. That’s real life, and honestly, that’s where the best moments come from.

Keep it simple. Neutrals, denim, earthy tones always photograph best.
Nothing too busy—this is about you and your horse, not your outfit.

Most sessions happen at your barn or a location we choose together.
I’m a horse photographer based in Tennessee and travel across Georgia and Alabama, so I’ll come to you.

By letting them set the pace. I pay close attention to their body language and adjust as needed. Whether they need a few minutes to settle in or a break during the session, I’m happy to work around what makes them feel safe and comfortable.

Everyone says this at first.
You’ll feel it for about 5 minutes, and then you’ll forget the camera is even there. I guide you the whole time—nothing stiff or forced.

We work with your horse, not against them. Some of the best photos happen in between the “imperfect” moments.
