Your Senior Photos Should Look Like You.

Senior year is a big deal. And if horses have been part of your life through it all, leaving them out of your senior portraits doesn’t make much sense.

Your session can be polished, Western, classic, playful, dramatic, relaxed — or a little bit of everything.

YOUR SENIOR SESSION

This Isn’t a School Picture With a Horse Added.

Your horse is part of your story. So your senior portraits should feel like your life — not like a traditional senior session with an animal standing beside you for one photograph.

We’ll create photographs of you with your horse, riding, walking, laughing, getting ready, showing off your favorite outfit, and simply spending time together.

And if you want some photographs without your horse, we’ll do those too. Your senior session should give you variety.

01

Your Personality

Western cowgirl, classic equestrian, quiet and natural, bold and glamorous — your session can look however you want.

02

Your Horse

Your horse isn’t a prop. They’re part of your everyday life, and we’ll photograph that relationship naturally.

03

Your Milestone

Graduation is the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Your photographs should reflect who you are right now.

THIS CHAPTER

Before Everything Changes.

Senior year has a funny way of making you realize how quickly things move. Graduation comes, college starts, people move, schedules change — and the horse that has been part of your everyday life may suddenly be part of a very different routine.

These portraits give you a chance to photograph this exact version of your life: you, your horse, and the person you are right now.

FIND YOUR LOOK

One Session. More Than One Version of You.

You don’t have to choose between classic senior portraits and the photographs that show your equestrian life. We can build both into one session.

  • Classic Senior Clean, polished portraits that look beautiful in an album or displayed at home.
  • Western Cowgirl Boots, denim, hats, leather, turquoise and the Western style you actually wear.
  • Equestrian Riding portraits, your show clothes, tack, barn and the horse you’ve spent years working with.
  • Something Completely You If you have an idea, bring it. Pinterest boards are welcome. So are ideas that have never been done before.

WHAT TO WEAR

Bring the Outfits You Actually Love.

Western

Boots, denim, hats, fringe, leather, turquoise, dresses, statement jewelry — if it feels like you, it belongs here.

Classic Equestrian

Breeches, boots, show clothes, polos, blazers, hunt coats or the riding clothes you actually feel confident wearing.

Casual

Jeans, a simple top, boots and your horse. Sometimes the simplest outfit creates some of the strongest photographs.

Dressy

A favorite dress, skirt or more polished outfit can create a completely different look — especially with your horse.

YOUR HORSE IS PART OF THIS

Your Horse Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect.

Your horse may move. They may look away. They may decide the grass is suddenly the most important thing in the world. That’s normal.

I work with horses all the time, so I don’t expect them to behave like trained photography models. We’ll give them time, work with their personality, and keep the session moving.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

What Should You Bring?

You don’t need to pack your entire barn. A few thoughtful things will give us plenty to work with.

  • Your outfits — bring the looks you want to photograph, plus shoes that make sense for your location.
  • Your horse’s grooming supplies — brushes, fly spray, towels and anything you normally use for touch-ups.
  • Your tack — saddle, bridle, breast collar, show gear or another meaningful piece.
  • Ribbons and awards — if they’re important to your story, bring them.
  • Your favorite hat or accessories — especially pieces that are part of your everyday style.
  • A helper — an extra set of familiar hands can make the day much easier.

ONE THING YOU DON’T NEED

You Don’t Have to Know How to Pose.

Seriously. That’s my job.

I’ll show you where to stand, where to put your hands, how to interact with your horse and when to simply stop thinking about the camera.

You get to be a senior. I’ll worry about the photography.

SENIOR EQUESTRIAN FAQ

A Few Things You Might Be Wondering

Can I include my horse in my senior portraits?

Absolutely. That’s exactly what these sessions are designed for. We can photograph you with your horse, riding, together on the ground, and in all the little ways you interact.

Can I have photos without my horse too?

Yes. Your senior session can include photographs with your horse, portraits of just you, riding images, outfit changes and whatever combination makes sense for you.

What if my horse doesn’t stand still?

That’s normal. Horses are horses. I work around their personality, give them time to settle and photograph the moments when their expression and posture come together.

How many outfits can I bring?

That depends on the experience you choose. We can plan your outfits ahead of time so you know exactly what makes sense for the session and the amount of time we have.

Can I bring more than one horse?

Yes. If you have multiple horses you’d like photographed, we’ll plan enough time to include them safely and without making the session feel rushed.

What if I have no idea what I want?

That’s completely fine. We’ll talk through your outfits, horse, location and ideas before your session. You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out.

Where do you photograph senior equestrian portraits?

I’m based in Cleveland, Tennessee and photograph senior equestrian sessions throughout Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and the Southeast, including the Chattanooga area and surrounding communities.

What happens after my senior session?

Once your photographs are ready, we’ll meet for your personalized ordering appointment. We’ll go through your images together, choose your favorites and talk about the best ways to enjoy them, including digital images and finished artwork.
